211 serves as a centralized resource for assistance referrals and listings. The following data represents those seeking assistance through the 211 website or call line.

COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program

The City of Knoxville’s COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program will assist renters and homeowners struggling to pay for housing due to income lost because of the pandemic.

The goal of the program is to help an estimated 570 renter households and 140 homeowner households make their current and overdue housing payments. Individuals who need assistance should contact 2-1-1 to get connected with one of our agency partners. The City's COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program will end June 30, 2021.

KUB - An Introduction

The Knoxville Utilities Board has been working to ensure our residents have access to electricity, gas, and water throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to extending a moratorium on utility shut offs from May - Mid October last year, they have also worked to connect residents with financial assistance as needed. The graphs below illustrate the amount of assistance distributed to households across Knoxville.

Detainer Warrants

Detainer warrants are issued by a property owner to show court intent of eviction. While not every detainer warrant means an eviction happened, it does represent a risk of eviction.
